Lily of the Valley for the Month of May

Hello everyone and happy May day! Another quick post for you...

L is for Lily of the Valley,
the flower of May...

and was a popular flower to have on postcards....

and on calling cards...

Other names for this highly fragrant little bloom are
May Lily and May Bells.
The flower signifies the return of happiness.
I am always happy each May to find the sweet blooms
next to my front porch.

This May I am lucky enough to have found a Lily of the Valley teacup to photograph with these sweet little blooms.

It is a Queen Anne fine bone china cup made in England.

To bring out the pink I used a pink doily and even had a hanky with embroidered lily of the valley on it! :)

Thank you so much for visiting
and I hope this May brings you much happiness!
